Why cleanse? If you’ve watched a smog-filled sunset, sat sweating in 100 degree weather with 99% humidity, tried walking on New York’s Hudson River or watched miles of dirty snow along your winter work commute, you know that we have more challenges than ever when it comes to keeping clean. It’s the 21st century and more people are playing and working harder while the world’s pollution abounds. Our Simplified Facial Cleanser is a gentle gel cleanser that cleans and freshens the face without stripping its natural oils. Formulated with shea butter to help maintain your skin’s natural moisture level and cranberry extract to provide antibacterial and antioxidant properties. We encourage you to keep clean and be as earth-friendly as you can!

Recommended Use and Directions

Cleanse your skin once or twice daily. Apply in circular motions to wet skin until foaming occurs and then rinse well. May be applied gently with fingers for sensitive skin or with your favorite exfoliating implement.

Size: 2.0 oz / 60 ml
pH: 7.38 What is pH and why is it important? Essentially, pH is a measure of acidity on one end and alkaline on the other. The range is 1 to 14 with 1 being highly acidic and 7 being a neutral level. To maintain a healthy balance and minimize bacteria growth, our skin needs to be at an ideal level of acidity, which is a pH level of about 5.5. Why isn’t the neutral pH of 7 better? Because our skin naturally has a thin protective layer known as the acid mantle, which is made up of fatty acids excreted from the skin's sebaceous glands. When we sweat, which is a good and healthy daily biological process, the fatty acids mix with lactic and amino acids from our sweat, creating our skin's pH level. As we go about our day, our skin’s acid mantle is being broken down by environmental elements we are exposed to (light, pollution, water, air, modern-day products, etc.). This challenges our skin's ability to protect itself. And if that isn’t scary enough, our skin becomes more acidic as we age based on what we put in our body and the prolonged exposure to these environmental elements! Elevating the skin’s pH level slightly allows a cleanser to more easily remove oil, dirt and other debris. By using our facial cleanser, which has a pH of 7.38 (really close to neutral as opposed to some cleansers that strip your skin by having a very alkaline pH of 9 or more), it will help to bring it back into a balanced level by allowing your skin to hold onto most of its natural acids. You’ll feel clean without feeling over-washed.

Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetatespan Essentially a vinegar, which creates a lather when combined with the soapy lauryl.
Cocamidopropyl HydroxysultaineA very mild cleanser and skin conditioner that also boosts the cleansers ability to foam for application.
Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Fruit JuiceAn antioxidant and antimicrobial. Not only are cranberries delicious and healthy to eat, they are equally beneficial to the skin when used topically.
